The project integrates residential, business, commercial and recreational facilities to create a new urban landmark that contributes to the city’s ambition to be a fashionable and international hub in Western China.
The site’s challenging topography contributed to the design process, prompting a focus on circulation. Project components are designed to flow one into the other as people are carefully choreographed through a series of spaces that allow seamless transitions over significant inclines.
Being outdoors is an integral part of the lifestyle in Chongqing, so the project includes a balance of public and private spaces, including green roofs and terraces that maximize views toward the river. Because the neighborhood holds protected temples, the area will feature a blend of old and new architecture.Share
