This dramatically linear, three-story building creates a new image for the rapidly growing Middle Georgia State College campus in Macon. Situated on the western edge of the campus, this structure reinforces the campus master plan and the new linear pedestrian walkway.
The barrel-vaulted roof of the building is interrupted along its length by the flat plane of the atrium skylight, separating the building into two wings. In the longer wing, the lower floor consists of the nursing and health sciences’ faculty offices and general classrooms, with natural sciences’ offices and classrooms occupy the upper floors. The short wing of the building provides classroom, office and conference space for the Graduate Program.Share
