Coda, the 770,000-square-foot next phase of Tech Square, is already underway. It will give the area one of the few features it’s lacked — a central gathering spot for its thousands of students, faculty and professionals.

John Portman & Associates and Thomas Balsley Associates, a New York City-based design firm known for urban landscape architecture, are designing Coda and its public spaces. The $375 million development is expected to be complete in 2019.
