International architectural firm with offices in Atlanta and China is seeking an architect with experience in all aspects of the project delivery [SD, DD, CD & CA], with CAD experience, modelling, rendering ability and presentation skills.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies in order to be considered:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture
  • Registered Architect (preferred)
  • LEED accredited (preferred)
  • 6 to 10 years of professional experience in large scale mixed use, hospitality, residential, office and other commercial functions.
  • Experience in all aspects of the architectural design from concept to construction administration.
  • Knowledge of latest technologies for building designs, materials and systems, and the ability to develop and detail these systems.
  • Strong people and communication skills; team player.
  • Be able to work closely with project design director to develop design concept ideas by preparing plan layouts; 3D illustrations and other creative means to convey the intent of the design.

Preferred computer skills:

  • AutoCAD/Revit or Bentley MicroStation V8i SS3
  • 3D modeling/Building Information Modeling Systems (BIM) – SketchUp, 3D Studio Max; Rhino and Bentley AECOsim Building Designer SS3
  • VRay
  • Grasshopper and Bentley GenerativeComponents

Nature and Scope

Seeking a full-time Visualization Specialist with expert knowledge of modeling, rendering and animation. This individual will need to be able to create high-quality digital visualization presentation material in multiple media formats. Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Experience in all aspects of creating architectural renderings and animations including post production, as well as multimedia and virtual reality presentations.
  • Use of 3D Studio Max is the preferred application for renderings. Candidate needs to be comfortable working with large data sets using 3D Studio Max Xrefs (External Referencing) file
    structure. Candidate needs to have strong 3D Studio Max scene management.
  • Ability to work closely with project Design Director and the Marketing Team to develop inspiring computer-generated imagery and other creative presentation material to convey the intent of the design.
  • Experience with modeling and rendering with a variety of software packages including: BIM (Revit, Bentley AECOsim Building), Sketch Up, Rhino, and 3D Studio Max.
  • Proficient in mapping materials and setting up camera locations and lighting for still renderings and fly-thru animations using VRay, LumenRT and other programs and plug-ins.
  • Experience with post production and presentation software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, and video editing including music using Adobe After-Effects and Premier.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Architecture or in an architecturally related field with experience in large scale mixed use, hospitality, residential, office and other commercial building types is preferred.
  • Understanding of current building designs, materials and latest systems and technologies with the ability to develop and render these systems.
  • Must be able to create a visual experience through presentations in a variety of styles from conceptual to photorealistic.
  • Demonstrate mastery-level of knowledge of working with a variety of software programs and equipment for output including use of an internal rendering farm. When appropriate, act as a liaison with outside vendors as required to accomplish tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
