GURI NEW TOWN

This master plan creates a new livable, walkable urban center composed of residences, commercial districts, and communities linked by boulevards and parks. Eight strategically located public green spaces form the center for each neighborhood. A below-grade retail and commercial arcade provides for high end retail at the commercial zones, and daily service retail at the residential zones. A people mover system is designed to link zones below grade to planned future stops on the Seoul subway system. Twin mixed use towers situated on a grand open lawn mark the center of the commercial district of Guri. The lawn slopes to the subterranean retail space to the city and to the water feature at the base of the towers.
