The 60-story, 1.4 million-square foot (130,000 sm) SunTrust Plaza office tower anchors the north end of the Peachtree Center complex and has become a major icon on Atlantas central business district skyline. The faades are rich granite with gray glass reinforcing the towers faceted, sculptural form. The plan is square with alternating office projections stepping in and out, thereby creating 36 corner offices per floor and making it an ideal corporate headquarters building.

The sites steep slope presented an opportunity to establish four major entrances into the 62-foot-high (18 m) lobby, each from a different street level and each offering a distinct sense of arrival. On the upper lobby level, a balcony encircles the cylindrical elevator core and overlooks a major sculpture gallery designed for public enjoyment. Outside on the exterior plaza level, a glass and steel canopy covers the walkway, encircling the tower. The exterior plazas and green space act as a public sculpture garden for the community to enjoy.
