Built in 1975, the Brussels International Trade Mart features contemporary architecture that is both multifunctional and modular. The complex contains 1.78 million square feet (165,000 sm) of display space, including 1500 showrooms which offer flexibility in the form of partition walls. The exhibition space rises in concentric rings around a massive center court, providing 26,900 square feet (25,000 sm) of work space and conference rooms, plus the conveniences of a post office, bank branch, restaurant, and snack bar. Ample parking facilities are also incorporated into the Marts design.
